Reading Resolutions

I'm always excited by new beginnings. I guess I love the sense of possibility. It's like the feeling I get when I crack open a brand new book.

Here are my 2012 Reading Resolutions

Recommend at least one book a week on my blog.

Do a better job of updating Goodreads. I'm behind on that.

Start a brand-new "Books I Read in 2012" list on the blog. I wish I'd done that last year. I have no idea how many books I read in a year!

Read more e-books (Santa brought me a new Kindle :)) but not TOO many because I must also:

Keep giving away lots of books and ARCs on the blog. My shelves have never been tidier!

  1. Santa got you a kindle!! I am so jealous!!

I have to get better at updating Goodreads too. But maybe I can keep a list of the books I read in 2012 on my blog. I hadn't thought about that. :)

  2. I got a Kindle for Christmas too! I've never read a lot of ebooks, but I'm learning how now ;o) haha...

You will LOVE keeping a list of everything you've read! I've been doing it for 5 years now, and love seeing how my reading 'trends' :o)

    Happy New Year!

  3. I did a list :D I barely made 60 lol.. I guess I read slow... I'll continue keeping track for 2012 though :)
It's weird coz I only count books if they are over 100 pages.

  4. I LOVE my kindle! I am trying to read and get rid of all my paperbacks as well...good thing I have some nieces that LOVE to read! Other books I am swapping out or donating to the library. Used to give them to my mom but she is all about her kindle that we got her for mother's day so she won't read any other type of book now :)

  5. I asked for the simplest kindle.I looked at the Fire but decided that it was too heavy. My basic one is tiny and I can carry it everywhere.
I still won't give up my paper books. I love the covers. I love seeing them sitting on my shelves. I love the way books smell.
But I am also loving the idea of being able to carry dozens of books around in my already overstuffed handbag.

  6. Lucky you!! Now it's going to be easier to read NetGalley books:)

Couple resolutions I hope to not break: Be more punctual about posting stuff (always a problem)
    Do more live interviews
complete my reading challenges this year
    And, Reread Harry Potter ;)
