Feature and Follow Friday 1

I'm excited to participate in my first-ever Feature and Follow Friday, hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

Every Friday a group of bloggers answer a question and then hop around each other's blogs to see the answers and discover new blogs.

Parajunkee and Alison Can Read each also feature a different blogger on their site every Friday. Check out their sites and find out who's being featured today.

And today's question is...

Many readers/bloggers are also big music fans. Tell us about a few of your favorite bands/singers that we should listen to in 2012.

LOL. I am SO not a cool music person. But at least I'll get to read other people's recommendations and make a new FFF playlist!

About me: if I listen to the radio, it's pop music all the way. On my iPod, I have a lot of 80s music, both rock and alternative. And British. I have a weird obsession with all things British and Australian.

So I'm going to pick some characters from the books I've read so far in 2012 and dedicate them a song by an 80s British band.

For Hadley and Oliver from Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight:
Pet Shop Boys: Love Comes Quickly

For Jack and Becks from Everneath:
Depeche Mode: Shake the Disease

For Aria and Perry from Under the Never Sky:
Tears for Fears: Mad World

For Becca in New Girl and Rebecca in Rebecca:
Wham! Everything She Wants

For Elder and Amy from A Million Suns:
The Plimsouls: Million Miles Away

Okay, I cheated. One of those bands is NOT British. Do you know which one?

I'm so not cool with music either. I listen to random stuff. I do follow friday every now and then but didn't this week. Too many other things to catch up on. But I have an author Interview & Giveaway up and would love you to check that out if you have time.

  8. I have no idea whose not British on your list--but I think when it comes to books and music Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly tops my list. However, I cannot think of a single song for the book--can you?
