In My Mailbox 2

What was in my mailbox this week?

The books on the left I bought:

Last Summer of the Death Warriors by Francisco X. Stork

I've had this on my list since I read the amazing Marcelo in the Real World by the same author. If you haven't read that, I think you should!

Next, I got my copy of The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

I'm so excited to read this one.
I'm a huge John Green fan.
And, because I preordered the book...

...it's signed>>>>

I also bought Article 5 by Kristen Simmons.

I got two new books in the mail.
Thanks so much to Hayley, who traded ARCs with me.

First, she sent me Goddess Interrupted by Aimee Carter. I need to get going on reading The Goddess Test. I checked it out of the library when we were on vacation last summer and didn't finish it before the vacation ended :(

Hayley also sent me a surprise present.  Thanks so much!

Finally, I realized that I should include "In My In-Box" to In My Mailbox. Here's what just came in from NetGalley:

Graffiti Moon

Slide
Thanks so much to Balzer and Bray/Harper Collins and Knopf/Random House!
What's on top of your TBR pile?

  1. Everybody keeps talking about this John Green...I've never read anything of his, but maybe I should?

I fail miserably at once-a-week posts, so I've decided to do end-of-month "reports" this year, haha... :o)

    1. Yes, you must try a John Green book. Maybe start with Looking for Alaska??
And, yes, I do think it is possible to overdo it with the memes, but I love IMM. Love seeing other people's books!

  2. I've seen Article 5 around a lot and it sounds like it'll be a good book. Come check out my IMM!

  4. I want to try to get to an event by my house with John Green talking about that book. Now that I have been introduced to him--I really really want to go!

  5. I didn't know Slide was on NetGalley. I'll have to check it out. I'm really interested in that one. I actually saw signed copies of The Fault in Our Stars at my little bitty Wal-Mart yesterday. I'm thinking of going and grabbing a copy. I'm not intrested in his other works but this one does sound good! Yay for the second book in the Goddess series. Those have always intrigued me. I still need to read this first, what did you think of that one?

    1. I think that John Green signed all the first printing copies. He actually signed the pages before they were bound into the book.
You should try one of his books, really!
As for the Goddess Test, it was over the summer and I barely got started in it. But I had an ARC that Hayley REALLY wanted and she offered Goddess Test up. I never say no to ARCs!

  6. Argh, I keep seeing The Fault In Our Stars everywhere! Funny thing is, I didn't even WANT it until all my blogger friends kept going on about it. Ah well, I guess book blog marketing works...

Point is, I want it so badly now it hurts! And I love the little fish illustration :)

    Have a great week :)

  8. Great IMM! I haven't read The Goddess Test, but I hope to pick that and Goddess Interrupted up sometime in the future. Also jealous of The Fault in Our Stars and Slide! :) Happy reading!

  12. You got a hanklerfish in your The Fault in Our Stars copy! Lucky you! I wanted to get either that or a yeti but I'm happy with just an autographed copy. I also have TFiOS in my IMM this week. :) Currently reading it now.

  13. I'm so jealous that you have Article 5, none of the bookstores in my area have received it yet! OMG can't wait for your review! Hope you like the books! :) Thanks for the shout out!

  14. I read the Goddess Test last December. I don't want to get your hopes down but I was very disappointed. It's funny how I rarely ever get print ARCs but I got one of Goddess Interrupted which I had no intention of reading. Oh well, I guess plans change lol. The cover I love though. It's definitely a pretty add to your bookshelf!
