Not going to ALA? That is, the American Library Association Conference? I'm not.
I'm a little jealous of the people who get to go to conferences, rub shoulders with famous authors, meet other bloggers and hear about new releases.
But that's okay, we can still have fun.
Every day during ALA (Jan 20-24) I'll be collecting entries for my...
Not-Going-to-ALA-Mystery-Box-of-Swag!
The winner will get to choose up to 6 ARCs from my personal collection -- books published in January and some yet-to-be published.
Every day I will reveal one (or more) of the items that the winner can choose to load in the box. One of them is...
Don't Breathe a Word

This book was fantastic. Look for my thoughts about it in tomorrow's Standalone Saturday.

I don't even know what I would be on the look out for. There are so many awesome books. Born Wicked, Sweet Evil, Masque of the Red Death, Of Poseidon, Onxy....I could go on and on lol!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely 'Something Like Normal' by Trish Doller. :D Maybe even 'Bitterblue' by Kristin Cashore.
ReplyDeleteLOL. This was a terrible question to ask because now I'm even more sad to be missing it!
DeleteI am writing down some of these. I'm also dying for Bitterblue.
DeleteSomething strange and deadly. i love the cover of the book.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many amazing books out and coming out this year. I was finally able to put a hold on Cinder at the library and that is all I have been able to think about! Thanks for the amazing giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm not exactly sure what ALA is, let alone what it stands for...
ReplyDeleteAmerican Library Association.
DeleteI'm not getting to go either - but this is an awesome giveaway idea :o)
ReplyDeleteHmm...What book I'd be on the hunt for...Maybe an ARC of ENCHANTED? There are so many good-looking books that have either just released or will be this year, I honestly don't know how to narrow it down to one particular book to hunt for. Maybe that means it's a good thing I'm not making it? ;o)
"Of Poseidon"! I can't wait to read this. The cover is gorgeous and it sounds like an awesome story. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
Cinder!
ReplyDeleteI'm also going with Something Like Normal but honestly, I want them all!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway :)
I know this is really sad...but I can't think of a book coming out this year. I think I am a little tired. LOL
ReplyDeleteI think an ARC of Enchanted would be greatly appreciated however. :)

Haha ok so I just read that this is only for U.S. residents and I feel stupid now haha. But hey, I still think that this is an amazing contest and Jen you're by far one of the most generous bloggers out there :) Best of luck to all!
ReplyDeleteHayley,
DeleteI'm SO sorry. The big box of swag is big and heavy.
I am about to send a book out to an international follower so I do try to mix it up.
Jen
Haha no worries at all Jen! You like give away 5 books a week- I totally understand :)
DeleteWell, maybe not 5 but it feels that way.
DeleteThanks for understanding :)
I seriously have like 80 books coming out this year I am looking forward to. There is a fatty list on my blog. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGoing to check your list out!
DeleteDefinitely Everneath. I have been waiting for this book to come out for a long time. Every time I see a review I want it that much more lol.
ReplyDeleteGod, there are too many! I would never leave, haha.
ReplyDeleteI think Of Poseidon...although there are so many books that I am super excited for
ReplyDeleteI usually keep on top of what's coming out but Of Poseidon I never heard of .... until now. It looks good!
DeleteSpeaking of ALA, I'm actually going to the annual one this year (first time ever) and I'm so excited. No idea yet which books or authors I'm gonna get to see but...eep! :)
ReplyDeleteBut if I was going to mid-winter, then I'd probably keep an eye out for Incarnate. I know a lot of people have read it already, but I haven't. So that would be exciting.
Anyway, also wanted to mention that I'm subscribed to your posts under the email: quailsrock23(at)yahoo(dot)com
Thanks for the giveaway! :)
The one in California? Yay for you!
DeleteI have't read Incarnate either. But I want to!
I really want to go to the Ala! Maybe the BEA too in New York but I'm broke! Excited for this giveaway! Looks exciting abd I want to win that book!
ReplyDelete-PC
Honestly, I don't know what I'd do if I went to ALA. I'd probably jump up and down thinking, "Real Authors! Awesome!!" Apparently, I live in a box...
ReplyDeleteThanks! This is amazing. : )
ReplyDeleteThere are SO many awesome books coming out soon! I don't have enough room on my shelves (never mind time to actually read them)!
Err... honestly? I'd freak out. I can't just pick one book- that's too hard! :P
ReplyDeleteSo many books coming out this year that I'm looking forward to! But I'm sure Clockwork Princess wouldn't be there yet.... ;)
ReplyDeleteHmmm....how about Pure by Jennifer Armentrout...or Bitterblue by Kristen Cashore...The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead
ReplyDeleteI don't know there are so many authors and books to choose from!
ReplyDeleteIf I could get my hands on one book at ALA it would be Insurgent by Veronica Roth:) Thanks for the generous giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that's a good one.
DeleteWoe is me. I live elsewhere!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, Marybelle! I priced the cost of mailing the box overseas and it ranged from $27 to $45. I wish there was an International Media Mail rate.
DeleteBut I hope you enjoy your comments contest book, which I just mailed!
I've never really been to anything like ALA or BEA so I really don't know what books they have there xD
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to ALA either so we can wallow in our misery together ;) Oh wait, we can't 'cause you're about to make someone very happy! Lol
ReplyDeleteIf I was going, I think I'd definitely look for BZRK, the new series by Michael Grant. It's supposed to be interactive and stuff. Very excited for it's release! Also, I would love it if they would tell us when the sequel to Blood Red Road is coming out...
I have Blood Red Road on my TBR. Need to get to that!
DeleteI have never been to any of these:( so im ignorant to these sorry:( thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteNeither have I, but from what I hear, you get to meet authors and get tons of free books. Sounds like the best place ever!
DeleteWhat a tough question! I think I would most want Insurgent though. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Bitterblue!!!

ReplyDeleteI'd be on the hunt for the next book in Kelley Armstrong's YA series, and the next Sookie Stackhouse book.
ReplyDeleteId look for the sequel to Blood Red Road!

ReplyDeleteI think i would be so overwhelmed with all the books there. I would come home broke and with plenty to read. Thanks so much for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteIf I went to ALA I would be on the look out for Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore! I've been dying to read that book :-D
ReplyDeleteIf I went to ALA I would definitely be on the look out for Of Poseidon by Anna Banks.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to that one too!
DeleteIf i went to ALA i would want Insurgent but since its not there i would choose Grave Mercy or The Last Princess.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! :D

If I went to ALA, I would be on the lookout for Insurgent even though I knew it wasn't going to be there! :)
ReplyDeleteI heard that Insurgent wasn't there. Which is too bad. But made me feel slightly less jealous. And having to stand in line all day for Bitterblue? I guess I would have tried to tag-team with friends.
DeleteI would look for Born Wicked, and Hemlock if I was going to ALA.
