In My Mailbox 8

This week's mailbox was a little quiet. But that's okay, because I have a massive TBR pile.

BOUGHT: Starters. The cover is so pretty (shiny silver with raised lettering) and so creepy. Reminds me of:

I actually made a whole "crazy-eyes" page on Pinterest. It's here.

WON: The audiobook of Tempest ....  I actually won something!  I hold all these giveaways but never win any. I was soooo excited.

Thanks to Jasmine of A Room With Books for hosting the giveaway!

So ... I'm dying to know: what books did you buy/win/borrow this week??
What's on top of your TBR pile?

Comments

  1. How did you buy Starters already? I thought it didn't come out until 3/13. The Hardcover looks awesome and shiny! I am reading it right now on my nook (from NetGalley) Yay for winning things! I have the audio of Tempest too. I heard it's really good, I just haven't gotten to it yet.

    1. Okay, first of all -- whoops. I meant the IMM post to go up tomorrow.

As for Starters, I was at the bookstore talking to the bookseller about stuff I was waiting for and she pulled that out from behind the counter like a magician. Maybe it was a review copy??

Moral of the story: I know some people have to buy all their books online because they don't have bookstores near them, but if you do have great bookstores nearby, it really pays to get to know booksellers. They are great and love to talk books with you!

  15. haha Village of the Damned scared the crap out of me. Nothing is scarier than little children. I swear any scary movie with children is a hundred times scarier than one with just adults. But Starters looks great and I still need to read Tempest too! Happy reading!

  19. Grats on winning Tempest! I tried to listen to an audiobook before, but I'd much rather read or watch something than just listen...maybe it was just the audiobook I was listening to!?

Also, Starters has such a cool cover and it is creepy! That photo, eeep. ^_^ Are you going to write a review for Starters ASAP or closer to the release date?

This week I received a few books I won from contests, Legions, Half-Blood, and an ARC of Never Eighteen. I'm gonna start Half-Blood probably tomorrow or the next day and I'm excited! I just bought Daimon today so I will be starting that tomorrow.
