Be a Better Blogger -- Bloggiesta!!

I'm excited to participate in Bloggiesta 2012!

Bloggiesta is sponsored by There's a Book and It's All About Books. It's a weekend when a group of bloggers gets together to work on their blogs, talk about blogging, and learn new things. I'm so excited!

Here's my to-do list so far:
  • Learn how to make text boxes in my posts. Arianne is helping me with that :)
  • Research custom blog designs. Do I want one? I asked Arianne and Cristina for their take on the process.
  • Plan my April posts so I can be more organized.
  • Prioritize my TBR pile.
  • Learn something about SEO (Search Engine Optimization.) What is it and why should I care?
  • Make a few (small!) changes to the blog that I've been thinking about.
Something I did already: backed up my blog. I know I should do this once a week, but I forget. If you haven't backed up something important recently --- do it now!!
Stay tuned for a report on my Bloggiesta progress! And I'm announcing the winners of the March comments contest soon too!

Are you involved in any spring cleaning projects? They don't have to be blog related. Tell me about them, or tell me what you would organize if you had the time and energy. I also should be cleaning my closets!

  1. Prioritizing your TBR pile is such a great idea! I should do that!

    1. Ha ha -- sometimes the shiny pretty covers distract me from the order of business!

  2. I've always wanted to include text boxes in my posts too - I hope you share. I've also thought about custom blog design too, but figure I'm a little early in, so I will hold off for now.

I think I really need to prioritize my TBR pile, but alas, that is for another day! I have enough to get to for now!!!

  5. Those are all great goals. I am not participating, but I really do want to learn how to do blockquotes/ text boxes and how to make a blog banner and a few other things. I will eventually learn. I do make a list of books to read, and try to stick to it, but sometimes I get sidetracked lol.

  7. Great list! I wish I could prioritize my TBR list ... I'm just such a mood reader that I just make sure I know what review books need to be read and go from there. Good thinking of planning your April posts, too -- scheduling my posts makes things so much easier!

    Have fun!

    1. I hear you. I don't make myself stick to a strict list, but I know which three or four books need my attention first.

  11. Blogiesta sounds so fun! I wish I'd have known earlier, I'd have totally signed up for it!

Well blog related, I need to backup my blog. Have never done it and now I'm terrified of that! lol ALthough I have no clue how to go about it. I also desperately need to update my review's page with links to all of my reviews. I don't think I've done that since last year! =/ And I also seriously need to clean out my closet and the freezer, and tackle the massive laundry pile that I could get lost in.

I also just updated my review list and put links in!

      The closets still need work!
