YA Hot off the Presses: April 17-23

Hot new young adult titles you won't want to miss!

Are you wondering what great new YA books come out this week? Me too.

In this new weekly feature, I'll highlight some of the great new YA books that are releasing each week.

This week focuses on YA coming out April 17-23.

Releasing today, April 17:
Glimmer by Phoebe Kitanidis
The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting
Gone, Gone, Gone by Hannah Moskowitz

Glimmer by Phoebe Kitanidis The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting Gone, Gone, Gone by Hannah Moskowitz

I reviewed Glimmer a couple weeks back. I found it a refreshingly different paranormal. Try it out if you like shows like The Twilight Zone and Lost.

I'm a huge fan of YA mystery and that includes Kimberly Derting's Body Finder series. I reviewed Last Echo and thought it went a long way toward keeping this series surprising and exciting.

I've requested Gone, Gone, Gone at the library. I read Invincible Summer and really love her writing!

Other YA books coming out April 17-23:

Liberator by Richard Harland

172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad

Kill Switch by Chris Lynch

The Chaos by Nalo Hopkinson

The Wicked and the Just by J. Anderson Coats

The Springsweet  by Saundra Mitchell

Mister Death's Blue Eyed Girls by Mary Downing Hahn

What are your thoughts on these?

Can't wait for next week's HoP -- it's going to be HUGE!!

  1. I really want to read Glimmer! I want to read The Last Echo too but first I have to read The Desires of the Dead. So many books! I'm always at least a few months behind on a lot of new releases.

    1. I thought Invincible Summer would be a fluffy summer beach book, but it was darker than I expected. Sad but beautifully written -- I enjoyed it!

  3. I really want to read Glimmer and Gone Gone Gone. I remember the sniper shootings... one of them was only a few miles from where I went to school. So scary!

    1. I was on vacation in DC for a few days during that time and it was really scary!

  4. I really need to get Glimmer. It sounds so awesome!! I haven't read any of Kimberly Derting's Body Finder series I have heard that it's really good though.

    1. I liked it -- Body Finder is mystery with a racy (for YA) romantic subplot. I think you'd like it!

  5. It's so hard to keep up. When there are ARCs, I confuse them to the actual book. So I get so confused if the book is really out or not unless I'm specifically looking for them to add to my wishlist

  6. I am DYING to read The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting. I seriously love that woman and her books! They're really great thrillers!

  7. As you saw from my review, I loved Last Echo! Just like Four and Tris had new relationship dynamics in Insurgent (art least from what I hear) same with Violet and Jay!

  8. I haven't heard of Gone, Gone, Gone, so hopefully you'll like it and then I'll add it to my list. Last Echo and Glimmer I'll get to eventually. :) Most of the books I was really excited about are out already or won't be out for a little while.

  9. I'm reading Glimmer right now and loving it (thanks again for the ARC!) and I really need to read the Body Finder series. I almost picked up book 1 at Half-Price Books this weekend, but didn't. Darn. Should have grabbed it. Oh, well. And Gone, Gone, Gone sounds really good, too! I look forward to your review!

I looked on Goodreads for GONE,GONE,GONE. This is the first I have heard of it. Be good to hear your thoughts.
