Extra Extra 10!

Extra! Extra!

Extra! Extra! is my weekly Sunday post featuring brand new additions to my TBR pile as well as a summary of what's coming up on the blog. I'm going to try mixing it up by linking to different weekend posts.

Today I'm linking to Stacking the Shelves @ Tynga's Reviews and Sunday Post @ Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

What's new with me? Well, I got these two books this week:

This Is Not a Test by Courtney Summers (bought and reviewed last week. I HATE zombies, so what did I think of this book? Click here to read my review.)

Cold Fury by T. W. Goeglein (traded with Heather @ Flyleaf Review!)

Not pictured:

Venom by Fiona Paul (This was one of the books that eluded me at BEA, so I traded ARCs with a friend and finally nabbed it.)

What am I going to be reading in the coming week?

Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols
Team Human by Sarah Rees Brennan and Justine Larbestelier

My Freebie Friday winner, as selected yesterday by Random.org:

Commenter #9 -- Brookea_2006.

Brooke chose This Is Not a Test by Courtney Summers. If you were dying for that book (no zombie pun intended) I have two more copies to give away, so stay tuned!

What's coming up on the blog this week?

Monday: A review of For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund. Did I love this retelling of this not-so-much-my-favorite Jane Austen? Stop by and see.

Tuesday: Hot Off the Presses keeps you up to date on what's new on the shelves this week!

Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday: I'm doing another themed review series called Before and After. I'm featuring three books that look at life before and after a tragedy: My Life in Black and White by Natasha Friend, Miracle by Elizabeth Scott, and One Moment by Kristina McBride.

Thursday: Patrick and I will also announce the winner of our Golden Lily giveaway. Still time to enter! Scroll down for today's question!

Friday: The TGIF question is about favorite books of the year so far, so of course I'm chewing my nails. I hate picking favorites, which is why I've yet to participate in Top Ten Tuesday. Can I do it? Stop by and see!

Tell me in comments: what's new with you? If you have a post to link to, please do that as well and I'll stop by!

  16. I'm very interested in your review of the Echols book when that comes; I think her writing is fab but her plots often infuriate me, and this sounds like it has the possibility to do so too with the brothers thing. I also like the sound of your themed review week-great idea! I'm looking forward to Miracle the most since I loved it and I love Elizabeth Scott.

  20. I hope you enjoy Such A Rush! I Loved it and Venom. OMG Falco is so amazing! SWOON! I still want to read This Is Not A Test. I am behind on reading your reviews because of my laptop issues. First the power plug thing broke and then Norton made windows crash. I finally was able to backup my hard drive onto my moms computer last night so today I have to wipe my computer and then hopefully it works then I have to put everything I need back on it. Such a pain.
