  3. I'm excited about many of these but Monument 14 and Shadow and Bone (both of which en route to me RIGHT NOW) are my most anticipated.

Question about Monument 14 - As I changed schools a multitude of times growing up, I never had to read Lord of the Flies. Should I?

    1. I found Lord of the Flies pretty disturbing -- but it's a classic, and an excellent book!

I'm excited about Midsummer's Nightmare and I think I will read Shadow and Bone because I've heard great things about it. Fantasy isn't always my thing, but sometimes I love it!

  12. It seems like there is a lot of hype about series and the releases at the beginning of the year and then things just kind of slack off. I'm getting to the point where I don't recognize or haven't seen a lot of these advertized or reviewed now. I have heard about All These Lives and Shadow and Bone and some of the series, but I'm not sure if I'll be reading any or not until I see good reviews. :) I'm looking forward to reading your reviews and then I'll see if I'm going to read them too. I'm reading Insurgent right now. So good!

  13. I already have and need to read Monument 14. I already read Arise and enjoyed it. I want to read A Midsummer's Nightmare. I just bought The Duff and I have heard great things about it. You said there is a very slap worthy guy so I'm sure I'll be angry during some of it. It sounds good! I also want to read A Girl Named Digit. It just sounds like a nice fun lighthearted read and I might read Shadow & Bone sometime.

  14. I'm probably most excited for A Midsummer's Nightmare and Arise! I already read Miracle though and I highly recommend it for people who like intense contemps.

  15. I ordered a copy of The Gathering Darkness (which is basically the UK title and version of Shadow and Bone) because it was being released earlier, and I absolutely loved it. It was such an amazing, vivid book with such wonderful descriptions and characters. Trust me, you won't regret reading it! Also, never heard of A Girl Named Digit, but it seems like a fun read. Another book I'm looking forward to which I notice wasn't on your list is Shadows Cast By Stars by Catherine Knutsson. The cover for SCBC is really beautiful and the plot-line sounds very intriguing!

I just saw Shadows Cast by Stars online yesterday -- for a minute I thought it was the Diana Peterfreund book, For Darkness Shows the Stars. I'm going to add it to the list!
