YA Hot off the Presses: New Releases June 19-25

Hot Off the Presses -- brand new YA releases!

Hot Off The Presses highlights great new YA releases for the coming week.
These books are coming out the week of June 19-25.

Last week, a lot of us were complaining about our rising TBR piles and shrinking cash flow. You'll be happy to see that this week is a little calmer.

But ... there are two books coming out today that I'm excited about. Click on the cover for details.

This Is Not a Test by Courtney Summers.

I'm reading this right now and .....whoa!

If you're a regular around here, you know I do NOT like zombies. At all. But I have loved every Courtney Summers book I've ever read -- I think I've read all her books. So for her, I'm reading this. And if I get too scared, I'll hide the book under a pile of pajamas and then put it into Freebie Friday.

Something Like Normal by Trish Dollar

I've heard nothing but amazing things about this one, so I've got to read it!

There are a few other YA books releasing in the coming week. Click the highlighted titles to check them out on Goodreads.

The Wild Queen by Carolyn Meyer

The Violins of Autumn by Amy McAuley

Just Flirt by Laura Bowers

If I missed something, please let me know in comments and I'll add it with your name!

  1. Is it wrong that I am excited that there is only one book that interests me this week? Something Like Normal looks really good, but I can hold off for a little bit. My bank account thanks you!

  3. I really liked Burn Mark-the witchy world created was so cool and I felt absolutely immersed in it because of all the details. Something Like Normal wasn't as strong for me because I was uncomfortable with some of the messed-up relationships in the book.

  4. Those are the top two on my list too!! I haven't read a zombie book yet, but I've read so many great reviews about This is Not a Test and from what I hear, it's a little different than a normal Zombie book. I'm also going to be getting Something Like Normal. That sounds so good and I love books from the male POV!

  9. Wow! I am shocked at a small book week as far as relases go. I loved Just Flirt, it was such a cute summer read! And I really need to dust off my copy of This Is Not A Test and read it. I am not a zombie person either, but I thought it sounded great! How are you liking it so far?

  12. I have seen This Is Not A Test. The second one is new to me, but I'll wait to add them to my pile until I've read reviews. . . so I'm looking forward to seeing them when you post later. :) I've got a bunch of books to get through this week since it seems the library has been dumping all my requests all at once. :) After that, I've got to read all the books I own that are in my tbr pile. So many books, so little time.
