Extra! Extra! 12

Extra! Extra!

Extra! Extra! is my weekly Sunday post featuring brand new additions to my TBR pile as well as a summary of what's coming up on the blog.

I'm still on vacation -- having a great time reading, playing poker, walking on the beach and eating.

What new books did I buy/swap/borrow this past week?

I'm away and not getting my mail. I'll have to let you know next week...

Weekly Blog Recap:

Monday: I looked at books that reminded me of The Cutting Edge: spoiled skating princess, ruggedly handsome hockey player, and/or a hate-to-love relationship.

Wednesday: was the first installment of St. Vladimir's Summer School --a Vampire Academy re-read. Who thought summer school could be so much fun?

Thursday: I reviewed Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols with a giveaway! Still time to enter!

Friday: I reviewed Team Human, which was not at all what I expected.

I reviewed Dark Companion, an updated Gothic.

What's coming up on the blog in the coming week?

Monday: I'm reviewing Small Damages by Beth Kephart, a beautifully written new contemporary.

Tuesday is Hot Off the Presses Day. Come find out what new books are releasing!

Wednesday: is another fun installment of St. Vladimir's Summer School. This week we're reading Frostbite! Stop by and join in the fun!

Thursday I'm featuring two fun summer reads: Don't You Wish by Roxanne St. Claire and The Best Night Of Your (Pathetic) Life by Tara Altebrando

Friday: Freebie Friday will be back -- yay!

Saturday: will be a new feature called Why Didn't I Read This Sooner? I'm featuring some books I read on vacation.

Since I'm on vacation, I'm not linking up this week, but tell me what's new with you and I'll visit you back!

  4. My vacation has been semi cancelled. So, while I have the time scheduled, I am not going anywhere anymore. I DO have some awesome back injections planned for that week...is this what getting older is all about? I suppose that gives me even more time to read! I guess I will take my beach chair to the local lake and pretend it's the beach! I am living vicariously through other people's vacations this year!

  5. I like your 'Why I Didn't Read This Sooner' feature idea! So many books are like that with me ... if only I had the time, I'd get to them all the instant they came out.

Hope you're having a great vacation!

    1. I know -- it's so hard to get to everything, and I feel like if I miss a book I have no time to circle back to it!

  6. Didn't realize there was a new Beth Kephart out; I'm impressed with her writing but I rarely have a deep emotional connection to the characters the way I like to. Excited to see your new feature on Saturday!

  9. Wow sounds like a very nice vacay. I can't wait to see what books you got in the mail and your next reviews. Nothing much here. Watched the UFC fights last night which were awesome. Been watching my baseball team win and catching up on shows. Now reading Harbinger by Sara Wilson Etienne which is really good so far. I think that's it lol.

    2. I don't mind my family but I rather keep vacations to just me and my boyfriend.
