Welcome to my first ever Waiting on Wednesday, which is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Not sure if I can link up because, as you may know, I'm on a trip with sketchy internet. We'll see. Today may also be called Waiting on WiFi...
In any case, I am here to tell you that I'm VERY excited about this book:

In any case, I am here to tell you that I'm VERY excited about this book:
Stealing Parker by Miranda Kenneally -- click on the cover to get to Goodreads.
It comes out on October 2 from Sourcebooks.
You may have seen my "Why Didn't I Read This Book Sooner" post in which I wonder why I waited so long to read Catching Jordan! It's up there with my favorite YA contemporary books. You can read my gushing about it here.
So I'm really excited to read Stealing Parker, which is about a softball player whose Mom scandalizes the town by running off with a woman. So Parker quits the team and sets out to prove she's nothing like her mom by hitting on every guy in sight.
Can't wait to read this one!!
OMG!! I can't wait for this either! I loved Catching Jotdan so much (thanks for giving me the push to finally read it)!
ReplyDeleteUgh! Jordan. This is why I hate commenting on my phone.
DeleteHa -- tell me about it. My autocorrect just changed blogging to loving. Could make for an awkward comment.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I own and very much want to read Catching Jordan and I've been keeping my eyes on this author's other books too. I love me some contemporary and this series of companion books looks exactly like something I'd enjoy.
ReplyDeleteOh please read it as soon as you can!! It's just a really fantastic book:)
DeleteI'm kinda wondering why I haven't read Catching Jordan myself. Stealing Parker sounds great, but then I read a summary for the third book (I forget what it's called ATM) and now I *need* to read all of them. :) Thanks for sharing! Here’s my WoW post! Happy Wednesday! :D
ReplyDeleteYou guys have got to read it!
DeleteAs soon as possible. Please!
I haven't read Catching Jordan yet but I want to.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you want me to link your post for you.
Hope you get to read it soon!
Brandi from Blkosiner’s Book Blog
Read it!! If you need more incentive go up a couple posts and read what Kim wrote! I was like you guys: too busy, review books, blah blah. Then once I read it I was kicking myself for waiting so long!
DeleteI want this book so bad!!! I was bummed that they didn't have it at BEA :-(((
ReplyDeleteI know!! Were we stalking the Sourcebooks booth together? Maybe that was Kristin and me...
DeleteI still need to read Catching Jordan, but I am looking forward to this one too.
ReplyDeleteAhhh!!! You guys are killing me. Read it as soon as you can...
DeleteI still need to get Catching Jordan! One day soon...*sigh*
ReplyDeleteHer books lost soo good! I totally have to agree about this one! Lovely choice as always! Stop by My WOW?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteYou had a great WOW.
Thanks for stopping by!
Great pick! I can't wait to read this either. I've heard it's really good. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WOW!
DeleteAwesome choice! I actually haven't read Catching Jordan yet but I'm DYING to!! It sounds fabulous!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW
I feel like a broken record here but .....YES!
DeleteWelcome to Waiting on Wednesday! I think it is my favorite meme because I always find great new books to add to my TBR.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Catching Jordan yet but I am pretty sure this one appeals to me even more! I'm looking forward to reading these. :)
My W.O.W.
It's so good!!
DeleteI really think I need to give Catching Jordan a try.... Especially if you liked it so much that the (companion? Sequel?) is your first WoW post. :)
ReplyDeleteYes since Kim and I both liked it you must!'
DeleteI read and loved both Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker! Miranda is an amazing writer!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Catching Jordan either, but will be soon (it's on request at the library). Hopefully this one lives up to your expectations - it sounds like it may. This is on my tbr too. :)
ReplyDeleteI think you'll like it. I hope so!
DeleteYAY! Congrats on your first WOW post! I featured this one as my WOW awhile ago. It was really good! I loved it although the books are heading towards a bit of a religious side which I'm not really into. Still a great read. Corndog was an amazing love interest as was the smexy Coach lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WOW! I haven't read any other Jennifer E. Smith books besides The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight but now I will have to check more out. I added You Are Here. That one sounds good!
I know a lot of people feel that way about religion in books. For me it depends upon how it's handled. But a love interest named Corndog has me slightly concerned!
DeleteI still haven't read Catching Jordan. I know, I know... I must read it! I'll move it up on my tbr.
ReplyDeleteWaiting For Wentworth
Okay I will not nag you :)
DeleteYes I am waiting for this book. Unfortunately I haven't read Catching Jordan yet, which is sad because that has my name all over it. But I do plan on reading both.
ReplyDeleteGreat Choice Jen! You finally participated in WoW! Yeah! :) Stealing Parker looks so good! :D
ReplyDeleteMine: http://wwwthebookshelves.blogspot.com/2012/08/waiting-on-wednesday-8-speechless-by.html
Loved Speechless! Just finished reading it!
DeleteI haven't read Catching Jordan! This sounds like a great contemporary read though. I definitely need to check this author out!! Great pick, Jen!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see that you've joined this meme! :) :)
ReplyDeleteI too haven't read Catching Jordan and Stealing Parker certainly looks popular! I will have to give both of these books a try!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly caught my interest!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Catching Jordan, I want to though. This one also sounds really good though!!
