NEW BOOKS:
Blessed by Tonya Hurley
Click on my snapshot to get to Goodreads. That cover seriously creeps me out, but I guess that's the idea. It's totally going on my "Crazy Eyes" Pinterest board...
I was recently approved for Princess of the Silver Woods by Jessica Day George on Netgalley.
Thanks, Bloomsbury :) I love fairy tale retellings and The Twelve Dancing Princesses was one of my favorites as a kid.

OMG I thought the same thing about the girl on the cover of Blessed. LOL Somehow I missed your review of The Lost Girl, so I will be heading over and checking that out now. Enjoy your new reads! :)
ReplyDeleteYou can check out what books I got here!
Ha ha ... those are some crazy eyes! Very funny!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to your review of TEN! I can't wait to read that one!
I LOOOOOVE The Twelve Dancing Princesses. I have like a thousand ideas for ways to retell it in my notebook and I just want to write my own version of it forever.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to check out Blessed. I love the cover. Have a great week and happy reading.

Blessed does look super creepy. And I keep thinking that Tonya Harding (the skater) is the author!
ReplyDeleteLOL you got me scared that I wrote Tonya Harding, because that is totally the kind of thing I do sometimes!!!
DeleteAgain, thank you so much :D I'm so happy and I can't wait to read The lost girl!
ReplyDeletePrincess of the Silver woods <3 I loved the other two books and this one looks amazing. Blessed does look creepy, but I also like that :p
Happy reading and have a wonderful week!
My showcase.
Well football is now getting starting so that's what's happening over the weekends now. I did get some great books this week. I won an ARC of Broken by A.E. Rought and also received Dreaming Awake and Descended by Blood that I bought off another blogger.
ReplyDeleteI got the Princess book and then rejected it cause it's book THREE! UGH, I love retellings but have to read books in order..grrr! You had an awesome week this week and I look forward to your review of TEN. My review will post Oct.1st. Thanks for being a part of The Sunday Post
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of any of these books before, but I do hope you enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long week and I am so ready to have this baby already ><
ReplyDeletePrincess of the Silver Woods looks interesting. I've been into the whole fairytale retelling lately, and I'm a huge fan of the tv show Once Upon A Time, so I may just have to look this series up!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!
I have The Blessed too, but it's a digital copy. Hope we both enjoy it! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading ^__^
My Haul
Blessed is creepy looking. I liked Entwined which was a retelling of the 12 dancing princesses. I didn't know that when I read it. I was just like damn this king had way too many kids. It was good though.

Blessed is super creepy looking!..lol It sounds kind of interesting though.
ReplyDeleteAlso, not going to lie, I've never heard about The Twelve Dancing Princesses before.. :( I'm sheltered..
Looking forward to your new reviews this week!
Have a wonderful week!
The cover for Blessed freaks me out SO much-definitely among my least favorite covers.
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Jay Kristoff's highly anticipated Stormdancer and am currently reading Douglas Nicholas' Something Red, which is slow-going so far.
I'm looking forward to your review of TEN. I so want this one to be GREAT!!
ReplyDeleteI agree about that cover for Blessed. It also is somewhat shocking because it is so different from most covers these days, don't you think? I am looking forward to Princess of the Silver Woods too! One of my favorite books is Entwined based on that same fairy tale, so I have high hopes for this one besides the fact that I really like the author. Can't wait to see your review!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a couple of books right now. I got The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa as an ARC from Edelweiss as it is a download (don't know if you want to read that one, but they still have it). Then I'm reading Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness.
The cover of 'blessed' totally creeps me out too! Bit freaky!
ReplyDeleteThe cover of Blessed is creepily intriguing! I love the typography for the title. The UK cover looks so different but gorgeous as well!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your Ten review! I'm really curious about that book! :)
ReplyDeleteand congrats to the winner! :)
Blessed looks really awesome!! I totally want to read it!!
ReplyDeleteSchool, homework, rehearsing my monologue, and hopefully some more reading and scheduling of blog tours. that's all i'm up to this week.. oh wait, job interviews!
