Okay, I have officially declared November and December as I'm Going to Read Whatever I Want months. So far, so good. Right now, I'm reading this:
Thanks, Little, Brown BYR -- you're the best!
Loving it so far. I'll try to get my review up next week, unless I'm washed away by Hurricane Sandy. I'm ready to read. I'm charging up the Kindle in case we lose power and I have a headlamp so I can turn the pages...

What happened on the blog this week?
I reviewed a great ghost story -- Break My Heart 1,000 Times.
I interviewed Laura Bickle, author of The Hallowed Ones -- if you didn't see that, it includes a hilarious story from Laura that prompted all these funny stories in comments about childhood phobias. Check it out!
My friend Heather @ The Flyleaf Review and I discussed YA Bad Girls

Searches that led to my blog:
A lot of "90s and I Love the 90s" searches led to me this week. But guys, I am so excited about this one:
TWO people got to my blog by Googling "overalls 90s girls." I hope they enjoyed all our 90s nostalgia!
Hope you had a great week too! Tell me what's new with you and if you leave a link, I'll visit you back :)
I love that people found your blog looking for the 90s! I still have not read Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I really really need to do that! I hope you get to enjoy the next 2 months to read whatever you want! I am hoping to do that too, in a couple weeks. I think I'll read my Life Next Door first from my list. :)
ReplyDeleteI checked out the new release calendar, and Nov and Dec seem pretty manageable. So I'm going to catch up on a lot of great stuff I've been dying to read!
DeleteI am so very inspired by your reading whatever you want for November and December! Although I am still committed to a few review books, I also put a ton of my own books on my schedule like Catching Jordan, Cold Fury, and an Anna Karenina readalong.
ReplyDeleteI don't have that many Nov/Dec review books, so I'm excited to read some stuff off my pile!
DeleteFirst of all - Stay safe! It looks like it's going to be worse for you up there than it is down here, though it's driving me nuts that they STILL don't know.
ReplyDeleteYour "Read whatever I want" declaration for Nov and Dec sounds great!
LOL -- this is the slowest moving hurricane ever. The waiting is the worst. Have no idea what's going to happen!
DeleteHoping everyone is safe and dry out there!
Lol you are so right that this is the slowest hurricane ever. The wait has me on edge. it started to rain this morning and its a little windy but not too bad yet here.
DeleteGreat haul!!Happy Reading

Yours too!
DeleteI'm looking forward to reading Black City! Can't wait to hear what you think of it! Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI'm hoping to start Days of Blood and Starlight next week too.
ReplyDeleteI've been bad at getting any reading done this past week.
I'm really enjoying it so far. About 75% done!
DeleteDays of Blood and Starlight!!! I'm planning to read that this week, too. Good luck w/the storm!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing how people found your blog. I think I just stumbled in following links.
ReplyDeleteI love that too -- it's really fascinating!
DeleteI still have to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Can't wait to finally get around to that :)
ReplyDeleteStay safe! I'm planning on keeping my Kindle charged and I have a huge pile of books that I hope I get through if the storm really is as bad as they say!
Jesse @ Pretty in Fiction
Hope you and your community stay safe and (relatively) dry. I've stopped watching TV -- it's freaking me out!!
DeleteI'm so looking forward to your review of Days of Blood and Starlight!!!
ReplyDeleteI read it awhile back, and I haven't been able to talk about it - and have been trying to find other reviews of it!!
Enjoy! :)
Emailed you - when I am done we can discuss!
DeleteCongrats to the winners :) And I didn't really like the DOSB as much as I thought I would. I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fantasy reader, but I really liked it!
DeleteSchools have just been cancelled here in MD and we are hunkering down. I have books, candles, and LED flashlights ready. Not sure what to do when my boy-child goes crazy with storm fear/boredom. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteYeah -- hunkered is the word -- except the time the storm is supposed to hit keeps getting pushed back. Schools cancelled here too..
DeleteI just won Black City and hope to read it next week. I have to read Reaping Me Softly and Pivot Point first. I always seem to have something I need to read before I can read anything I want to read. Loved all the 90s reminiscing.
ReplyDeleteMy Stack
Yay! For reading whatever you want month(s)! I need one of those. Interested to hear your take on Black City and of, course, your thoughts on Days of Blood and Starlight!
ReplyDeleteDon't get washed away!!! ;(. I will look forward to your review of DoBaS!!! The first one was sooooooo good. And yay for free reading November and December!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!! Dying that you have Days of Blood and Starlight!! I was trying to schedule a read what I want month, but I don't think it's going to happen. I have some free time in December though to get in some that I have been wanting to read.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I have four books that I "need" to read, but I'm excited about all of them. After that... I'm reading whatever I want. BOO YAH!
ReplyDeleteAhh, can't wait for Days of Blood and Starlight! I NEED IT NOW!!! And lol, funny search! :P
