Waiting on Wednesday: Hysteria by Megan Miranda

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

I really enjoyed Fracture by Megan Miranda, so I was super-excited to see this pop up on NetGalley:

Hysteria
by Megan Miranda
To be published by Walker Children's Books
On February 5, 2013.

Here's the blurb:

Mallory killed her boyfriend, Brian. She can’t remember the details of that night but everyone knows it was self-defense, so she isn’t charged. But Mallory still feels Brian’s presence in her life. Is it all in her head? Or is it something more? In desperate need of a fresh start, Mallory is sent to Monroe, a fancy prep school where no one knows her... or anything about her past. But the feeling follows her, as do her secrets. Then, one of her new classmates turns up dead. As suspicion falls on Mallory, she must find a way to remember the details of both deadly nights so she can prove her innocence -- to herself and others.

Me: A murder? A boarding school? A haunting? Amnesia?  Plus this cool surrealist art inspired cover?

I'm so there! Thanks, Bloomsbury, for letting me check this one out!

  1. The boarding school part seems to be a big draw to us in the book blogging world :) I know it's part of the reason I'm interested and I've seen a few other people mention it as well.

  8. I have this one up for my WOW this week. I guess great minds think a like. The reason I'm drawn to this is because of its boarding school elements. I LOVE boarding schools stories. My favorite series was Hex Hall. How about you?

  22. I still need to read Fracture. I had it from the library but then had to return it without ever having time to read it. This one sounds like a creepy mystery! Thinking she killed her boyfriend but not remembering. I have a feeling she probably didn't! Thanks for stopping by!

  23. I actually went to boarding school and trust me, it was a blast. We really tried as hard as we could to get away with murder. That pun was not intended! This book looks awesome. I love a good fall/winter mystery!
