I set up a YA Romantics Facebook blog page. Hope you'll check it out -- I've got some great YA publisher contests posted. Anyway, yesterday I installed the Facebook app on my phone to take a look at my shiny new page. This is what last weekend's post on Small Business Saturday looked like on a mobile screen. Check out the lower thumbnail photo.
*facepalm*
Hope you have a great weekend -- let me know what's new with you or leave me a link and I'll visit you back.
Very excited for your review of The Friday Society-I love the sound of female-centric and steampunk!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh re: your facebook page pic-at first I didn't look very close and so wasn't sure what was going on.
All I saw on my phone screen was the giant word TURD. My kids thought it was beyond hilarious.
DeleteLOL at the 'TURD'.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for this week's favorite list! Love those genres. :)
Me too! Still debating my list!
DeleteDon't feel bad. Yesterday, I clicked on a facebook link on an author's page (someone well known) and the link took me to a random person...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think a lot of authors are idea people, not techies....
DeleteHa ha ... turd. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have another awesome week, Jen!! :)
You too!
DeleteLOL that is so funny!
ReplyDeleteMy family loved it!
DeleteTURD is awesome! I love being a winner! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteCongrats and hope you love your book!
DeleteCan't wait for your review of The Friday Society. Have a great week..
ReplyDeleteJenea @ Books Live Forever's The Sunday Post
Thanks -- you too :)
DeleteCannot wait to hear oyur thoughts on Friday Society, i love the cover on that one! Awesome week and I am off to see what I've missed :) The Sunday Post
ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing cover, right?
DeleteAh, the screen cap! At work our system will shorten book titles, etc and a really great one I saw one time said something along the lines of "Anal... Invasion" which I think had something to do with Analysts. Either way, I took a picture of it with my old cell phone because I thought it was so funny. Oddly, no one else did. I also laugh because we carry Motorboating Magazine.
ReplyDeleteHa ha -- you librarians have a lot of laughs!
DeleteWell, jokes about turds are very big in my house. I've given up!
Ha ha! That reminds me of a chrsitmas special of 'one foot in the grave' in the uk, where the bloke thinks someone has written 'victor meldrew's a turd' on a box, and it turns out that it actually says 'victor meldrew saturday delivery' :)
ReplyDeleteI was naughty with my tbr this weekend and read hysteria by megan miranda instead of what i supposed to be reading. Hope you're having a fab weekend!
See, comedians in the UK have thought of this. It never occurred to me that Saturday had a turd in it. is that some kind of spelling trick, like the principal is your pal????
DeleteOMG I love the mobile shot of your facebook page!! That's just awesome!! Can't wait to see all of the awesome posts you have planned next week. :)
ReplyDeleteYou too! I'm getting excited for the end of the year. I love the new year!
Delete*snorts in a very un-ladylike manner*
ReplyDeleteNice to know that all the time we spend on getting our FB pages just right may not amount to a hill of beans in the end;)
Exactly. All that worrying, and then you go and put a inadvertent turd out there in the world.
Delete"inadvertent turd"
Delete"And that, right there, is why I love you Jen Ryland:)
Hey, turds happen...
DeleteAnd I love you too!
Bahaha...Saturday has a turd in it. :P I'll check out your Mara Dyer review once I have time to reflect on my feelings and write my own review. But how epically crazy was that book?!?!?
ReplyDelete*snickers* Turd... lol, that was funny! ;) Congrats to the winners!
ReplyDeleteThe thumbnail photo just made my day thank you.
ReplyDeleteTurd. Oh Jen. Also... I bet you have a hard time distinguishing between real and spam comments this week because pretty much every comment says turd. LMAO.
