Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Here are some January 2013 books I am dying to read:
|
|
I just love this series. Clara is such an amazing character and this book has a love triangle that really works -- I can't decide which guy I hope she ends up with. Maybe Clara has a secret twin?
I read Unearthly before I started blogging, but here's my spoiler free review of Hallowed. Cynthia Hand also wrote an Unearthly novella called Radiant about Clara and Angela's summer trip to Italy -- I'm buying that and reading it over the holidays!
Shades of Earth by Beth Revis
To be published by Razorbill on January 15!
This is also the third book in an amazing trilogy: Across the Universe and A Million Suns were the first two books. Here's my review of book two, A Million Suns.
And, of course, there's a prequel novella called As They Slip Away that is also supposed to come out in January 2013. It's not up on Amazon yet, but stay tuned. And is it me or are all these titles part of the Beatles song?
What January 2013 books are you impatiently waiting for?

I also can't wait for Boundless! I haven't gotten to Across the Universe yet, although both books are sitting on my shelves!
ReplyDelete2013 is going to be an awesome reading year!
I really enjoyed Across the Universe. I'm not the biggest science fiction fan, but there's also a lot of mystery plot in there! And the audio book is really fantastic, BTW...
DeleteNow that I have caught up with Hallowed, I am very excited for Boundless. Team Christian ;)
ReplyDeleteHallowed was great -- so sad. I'm dying for this one!!!!
DeleteSo excited for Boundless! I love that series!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read Boundless! I haven't started the other series yet. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy Wow
I know -- I should have put up the release dates. I'm going to go do that...
DeleteYeah, I think I read that somewhere on Beth's site...that the titles and the Beatles' song were related. :) Super excited about both of these! But probably more for Boundless because I just read Radiant and it's fresh on my mind, plus it's my favorite angel-themed series EVAR. Dare I ask which team you're on? :P
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah. Here's my WoW. Happy Wednesday! :D
Okay, it took me a while to catch on!
DeleteAmazing picks Jen! I really tried with Hallowed but I couldn't do it! I really have to get it done before Boundless! I'm also posting my challenge today!

DeleteI haven't started either of these series, but I've been meaning to!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many series I need to start!
DeleteI'm finally going to start the Unearthly series and finish the AtU series! Since they're ending and all. :)
ReplyDeleteThey have the ebook of Unearthly on sale, I think!
DeleteOh I'm *dying* to read these two books! Hope I get some gift cards for Christmas so I don't have to wait too long.
ReplyDeleteHere's my WOW.
That's what I asked for!
DeleteI have across the universe, unearthly, and hallowed but haven't read any of them yet! I joined a reading challenge for 2013 that involves reading books I already have so hopefully I will get round to them next year!
ReplyDeleteYes -- I have a huge stack I need to read and should stop buying more. Except I can't!
DeleteBoundless will be published for my birthday!! :) so awesome gift :) I can't wait to read it and I must start with Across the Universe :) Great picks :)
ReplyDeleteAHHH!! Boundless is one of my most highly anticipated books!! I NEED it!! Not being a big fan of angel books, that is one of my favorite series, so that's saying something!!
ReplyDeleteSame!!!
DeleteAs you know, I don't know when books are coming out. Except... I am waiting for the Indigo Spell :D
ReplyDeleteMe too! Dying for that one!
DeleteYes! Shades of Earth! I cannot WAIT for that book ... that's got to be one of my favourite series. :)
ReplyDeleteI heard that SoE is great too!
DeleteI haven't read A Million Suns yet but I am eager for Shades of Earth to come out. I want to grab both so I can devour one after the other. I'm too impatient. xD
ReplyDeleteThere's one in the middle too -- A Million Suns. You can read all three!

ReplyDeleteMy W.O.W.
Just over a month!

Ah, me too!
DeleteI have an ARC of Shades of Earth but I don't have A Millions Suns so I can't read it *cries* I love Across the Universe, can't wait to know how the story unfolds.
ReplyDeleteI'd trade you for that problem!
DeleteI wish I knew before they send it to me! I won the ARC trying to win something else. I would have give it to you instead.
DeleteDUDE I so agree about Boundless! I AM DYING TO READ THAT BABY SERIOUSLY THE ENDING OF HALLOWED GAVE ME THE TOTAL WTH FEELINGS.

I have your WoW and you have mine. That's funny!
DeleteI liked Across the Universe, and I really dig Beth Revis as a person, but I hadn't really planned on finishing the series until I read a short story the Revis wrote for Shards and Ashes- it was all about Orion and I really liked it. So, maybe it's time to to give the rest of the series a read!
ReplyDeleteOoohhhh I hadn't heard about the novella As They Slip Away! I am dying for both of these books and I am sooooooooo nervous at the same time! I just hope Clara & Tucker and Amy & Elder all live HEA! And that a dark wing eats Christian!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to see if I can chase up The Beatles reference now.
