Waiting on Wednesday: Revenge Version

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

I'm not linking up today because I'm on vacation!  But if you want to leave a comment, I'll try to visit you back while I'm doing my laundry after I get back...

Months ago, I put this on my "Books to Read if You Like the TV Show Revenge" list.
I've grown tired of Revenge (the show) but I never get tired of a good revenge story.

Then Blythe of Finding Bliss in Books put up a pre-review on Goodreads.

Now I really want this book!

Here's the Goodreads summary:

A week ago, Dinah’s cousin Claire cut her wrists. Five days ago, Dinah found Claire’s diary and discovered why. Three days ago, Dinah stopped crying and came up with a plan. Two days ago, she ditched her piercings and bleached the black dye from her hair. Yesterday, knee socks and uniform plaid became a predator’s camouflage. Today, she’ll find the boy who broke Claire. By tomorrow, he’ll wish he were dead.

Interested? You can add it to Goodreads here:

  1. I do enjoy revenge books (Count of Monte Cristo springs to mind) but I don't know if I've read many in the YA category. This is definitely one I want to check out!

  2. Oh, I'm just about to start Arclight by this same author! I hope both books are as good as I've been hearing! I don't watch Revenge, but I DO love a good revenge plot. Off to make sure this one's on my TBR. :)

  3. I've been dying for this book! LOVE the concept of revenge. Still love the show, though yeah, it's definitely lost some of the magic and excitement of the first season. I hope it picks back up but I don't know... :)

  4. This is on my TBR list, too. It sounds great! (And I've also grown tired of the TV show Revenge, which is sad because that British guy Emily was getting involved with was so cute, haha!)

  5. loving the blurb for this one, I have it on my TBR list <3

  6. Yes!! I really want to read this one too and Blythe's pre-review/book spotlight on her blog got me even more excited for it!

  7. That is a great pick, Jen! I definitely want to read Premeditated. Thanks for sharing!

  8. I haven't see this one yet. I don't know if I like revenge stories, but I definitely like detective/suspense stories! I'm already curious to know what happens in this one.

Here's mine for It Happened at the Fair and The Chaos of Stars.

  9. I haven't seen this book before but it looks really interesting! This sort of reminds me of the TV show Revenge which I just started watching on Netflix and absolutely LOVE. Great pick =D

  10. PREMEDITATED! *reaches for book*

I haven't read many revenge-type books, but I have been anxious to read this one! Great choice! :D

    Here is my WoW post!

  11. God, I LOVE that cover, pure awesomeness:)

  12. I can't believe I've never heard of this book before! Definitely a must read! ;) That summary sounds so intriguing!

Hope you're enjoying your vacation! :)

  13. I remember this book. I read the query somewhere a long time ago, maybe on the Query Shark?

Tired of REVENGE??? That show had my crying like a 2yr old with the boat incident. I love it.

  14. I love revenge! Muahahaha! I featured this one awhile ago as well! I mean it just sounds so intriguing and creepy! I am just dying to know exactly what this guy did and what her plans are for him!

  15. I am also burnt out on Revenge. I'm 6 episodes behind, but hoping a little break will help me to love it like I used to. ;) This book sounds awesome though!!! Added it to my PBS WL. :)
