Happy Friday!
I think I have spring fever. I have a bunch of review books on my Kindle. I also have a few great spring and summer ARCs -- most of which I got from a recent charity thing hosted by a major media outlet -- and I need to read them. But I just feel like taking a nap.
So I will be using some upcoming Freebie Fridays as incentive -- if I'm putting the ARC up for grabs, I have to read it.
Some upcoming giveaways will be for The 5th Wave, Gameboard of the Gods and The Sea of Tranquility.
This week's giveaway:
Honestly, for a year now, I've been unsure if this series is for me. There's a love triangle, it's a futuristic version of the Bachelor, etc. etc.
Maybe you haven't read The Selection. Me either. Um, I have that ARC too! *cough book hoarder cough*
If you are a US resident, you can have both ARCs. You can stare at them and decide which dress you prefer (I say the blue fluffy one, but you can argue for the red if you like.)
If you're international, then I will order your choice: a copy of The Selection OR The Elite when it comes out on April 23.
To enter, just fill out the Rafflecopter below! Winner will be drawn April 19 and the book mailed as soon as I get the winner's address.
If you have time, leave me a comment and tell me what you're reading right now. Or which dress you like better. But it's not required ;)
Thanks so much for the giveaway! I've also been sort of unsure about it but I'd still love to give the series a shot! I'm international, so if I won I'd love to get a copy of The Selection :)
ReplyDeletei often assume books aren't for me, but hey, you never know...
DeleteYeah, I pretty much said no way would I buy these books after the debacle with the author, but I'm still curious about them. So, if I won them, I wouldn't be going against my morals, right? :P You already know what I'm reading right now...you sent them both to me. :) And since I have spring fever, as well, I'll be sitting on the patio reading them tomorrow while the kiddo chases butterflies. Yay, I love spring! :D
ReplyDeleteThe butterflies and all sound lovely, but it went from 79 and sunny here to 40, grey and drizzly. That nap is sounding better and better!
DeleteI totally prefer the blue dress as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI really liked The Selection, but you need to read it for what it is. It's not a life altering book, but it's a fun read. It's also a really fast read. Those pages will fly by!
I finished the first book and I'm not really feeling the love triangle. I'll email you and see where you stand on this issue.
DeleteAwesome giveaway :) Thanks for it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
DeleteI am listening to Eleanor and Park and about to start Etiquette and Espionage!
ReplyDeleteThe Elite is one of the spring books I can't wait for!
I really loved Eleanor and Park!
DeleteI love the blue dress, and right now I am reading The Symptoms of my Insanity. It's hilarious! Also in the midst of my happy dance excitement at the chance to win a copy of The Elite, it may have entered me under two different Deidras. I try to enter with my email because my FB doesn't always work. I just wanted you to know I wasn't trying to cheat the system. I hate when that happens on my giveaways.
ReplyDeleteI checked the entries and you're good :)
DeleteThank you so much for the giveaway! I love the red dress! I am currently reading Invincible, but I am not taken with the series. I am also US. Thank you again! Best of wishes!
ReplyDeleteYay -- a vote for red. It's not the red hair-red dress I have an issue with. The blue one is just so … fluffy.
DeleteI also prefer the blue dress. I really enjoyed the first book and am interested to see what happens in the sequel. I'm about to start How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True and am very happy about that!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it!
DeleteYou'd rather take a nap... lol I'm not really interested in these books for some reason. Love the covers though! I hope you love The Sea of Tranquility as much as I did! One of my favorites, for sure. I'm super excited for The Fifth Wave too. I think I'm next to get it on the ARC tour. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteI really need to get my energy back!!
DeleteI'm reading Existence by Abbi Glines right now. Both the covers are gorgeous but I think I like the blue one better :)
ReplyDeleteOoh -- I just read The Vincent Boys/Vincent Brothers books...
DeleteThanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI definitely prefer the blue dress, my favorite color :) and I'm reading Towering from Alex Flinn!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway :)
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I want this book so bad!! thank you so much for the giveaway and happy Friday!!! I think I totally like the red dress but if it helps me win I'll say the blue dress!! LOL I'm agreeable like that!!
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading The Burning Sky which was amazing and I'm starting up The Program for a special bookclub read we're doing!! I'm excited to read it!!
xoxo thanks again!

I've been wanting to read this series for so long. The cover on the first book caught my eye and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since! Thanks for the giveaway, Jen!
ReplyDeleteJesse @ Pretty In Fiction
Both of the covers are so pretty, but I think I like the red dress better. I think it's more my style. :) I am reading Loki's Wolves right now and really enjoying it. Next up is Arclight.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the blue is prettier I would pick the red one since it's more me. The blue one's TOO fluffy to be me. :D
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm reading David Estes's Moon Dwellers. :)
Thanks!
I like the blue dress as well. It's just soooo Fluffy. LOL OH and I'm currently reading Astarte's Wrath by Trisha Wolfe. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm doing a giveaway for this one right now too! Read the books! Do it!
ReplyDeleteI love both covers/dresses. :)
~Sabrina@iheart y.a.fiction
I love the blue dress but really thing they are both gorgeous! I just finished reading Point of Retreat and I was really hesitant with the first couple of chapters that I wasn't going to love it as much as I loved Slammed. Then it just took off and I couldn't put it down :)
ReplyDeleteI also prefer the Blue Dress =) Honestly this book isn't as bad as some people have made it out to be. The love triangle isn't bad and the bachelor element is kind of fun!
ReplyDeleteI agree! :)
Delete~Sabrina@iheart y.a.fiction
Your comment about being a "book hoarder" made me laugh! Maybe I'm coming down with that too :) Anyway, I like the blue dress better although both are amazing! I haven't read either book but both look great! Thanks for this awesome giveaway - I would love to win!
ReplyDeleteSuz Reads
I read the first one and really liked it. I'm hoping I'll like Elite too, but we'll see. I also vote for the blue dress. I love red, but I prefer wearing blue.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Clockwork Princess right now. I know I'll need to talk to someone who has read it once I'm done, so I'll probably be emailing you. :)
Tressa @ Tressa's Wishful Endings
I love both dresses and both covers. They are absolutely stunning! I love the way the dark salmon one (The Elite) goes with America's hair.
ReplyDeleteI would highly recommend The Selection. Don't think of it as The Bachelor. Think of it as dystopia. If you like that genre then definitely give the series a try.
I am absolutely dying to read The Elite. I loved The Selection.
right now I am reading My Tattered Bonds (The Bloodstone Saga #4) by Courtney Cole!!
ReplyDeleteI like the blue dress, but the red color. Can we combine them? Somebody who is good at photoshop, make this happen. *cough*Kim*cough
ReplyDeleteI am reading The Fallen Angels Book Club right now for an upcoming tour. It's a good one!
ReplyDeleteCurrently reading The Rules: Project Paper Doll by Stacey Kade
ReplyDeleteLove both but I think I prefer the blue dress as well. I would like the blue dress in purple actually. I wonder what color the next cover will be? I'm not such a big fan of the series so I won't enter. I only scanned the first book. I will probably scan the second one from the library but the book just wasn't working for me. I have so many ARCs to get through! I've been reading okay but I just have been so out of the mood to write reviews. Don't know why. I am very behind :-/ I'm currently reading The Registry and it's good. Somewhat similar to a lot of dystopians but still enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading The Testing, Loki's Wolves, and The Eternity Cure (can't seem to stop picking up books). I think I like the blue dress more, the red is a bit boring.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Bitter Kingdom, and its really great! And ha, such a nice incentive! I'm actually looking forward to the Gameboard of the Gods one. ;) I like the blue dress more too, it has a cool vibe. Sadly, I didn't enjoy the book that much. America frustrated me most of the times. But for some reason, my sister loved it, so she begged me to join this. And yeah, I wouldn't mind reading this too, if its better than the first one!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading Thin Line by Mikael Engstrom, I'm not entirely sure where the story is going and the characters are eccentric. I loved the blue dress, my favourite colour is blue so I suppose that's why.
ReplyDeleteI just got the elite on netgalley! Really excited as I loved the selection! I think if you like dystopians you'll like this!
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading House Rules & A Shade Of Vampire.
