Extra! Extra! 50

Extra! Extra!

Extra! Extra! is my weekly Sunday post featuring brand new additions to my TBR pile as well as a summary of what's new on the blog.

Today I'm linking to Stacking the Shelves @ Tynga's Reviews and, as always, to my favorite Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

So much to say today!  If you haven't entered my Kody Keplinger Freebie Friday giveaway, scroll down one post and do that -- it's open internationally :)

New books -- and swag!

Yes, I am VERY excited for this one and want to thank Tor Teen :)

Thanks so much to Disney Hyperion for approving me for this one!

Exciting swag surprise!

This amazing t-shirt from Holt/Macmillan! So excited :)

News!

Over the summer, I am moving to a (mostly) six day a week blogging schedule, with my Extra! Extra! spanning the whole weekend. I know, I'm a huge slacker! But I'm really looking forward to some reading time -- I have a big summer pile to tackle and those fall ARCs are oh-so-tempting…

"Read us! Read us!"

Yes, they are arranged chronologically and the flags are signed books and/or possible giveaways… I may be a slacker, but I am a slacker with a touch of OCD...

What else am I going to be doing this summer? Giveaways, reviews, and some new special features! Plus I'm cooking up some exciting summer surprises with my blogger friends at Bookworm 1858, Flyleaf Review, Starry Eyed Revue, The Bookshelves and Candace's Book Blog!

I promise I won't be slacking off from reading, reviewing and giveaways -- I'm just looking forward to trying out some fun and creative ideas during a time when the new YA releases slow down a bit.

And, I also want to get a jump on some of those September titles -- I have 19 so far to review!

What's new with you? Leave me a comment and link me up so I can visit you back! Follow on Bloglovin

  1. LOL at the idea of you being a slacker-you always produce such outstanding content and I know you comment on a ton of blogs so no way does that describe you. I like the idea of only doing six days as well-we'll see how my summer turns out if I want to make that change too.

  2. I got Antigoddess last week, and it's taken all my willpower not to dive right in...I just love Kendare Blake! :D Can't wait to see what you think of The Waking Dark...I read Wasserman's last novel and it was brilliant.

Heh...I've been thinking about slacking off on the blogging some this summer myself...less memes and all that. I love the idea of just doing super fun features over the summer, and I'm so glad you included me in your plans! I only have 15 Septembers so far, but luckily, July is a very quiet month for me, review copy-wise, so I feel a bit less stressed.

Anyway, enjoy your weekend full of reading!!! :D

  3. Ahhh I want to read Antigoddess so bad! I think I might request it. You are totally not a slacker at all BTW. I have a ton of Sept. titles too. I'm glad July and August are pretty slow for me.

  10. Oohh curious about Antigoddess! Hope it is a good one! I still need to read the second Anna book. I have a real problem lately reading sequels and finishing series. I lose interest :-( I try to take a break on weekends as well and only post my book haul as well and sometimes a cover characteristic or blog tour post but in the summer I want to be swimming! lol So indeed a break is always called for. Especially since you have all those fab BEA books! I've taken a break from requesting any review books so I can just read what I feel like.

  12. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Antigoddess! I'm beyond jealous! I LOVED Kendare's Anna Dressed in Blood, and I'm not even a fan of horror. I am, however, a fan of Greek mythology, so I'm convinced that Antigoddess will be a book that I will love. Hopefully, the prediction is the same for you, too, Jen! :) And the Shadow and Bone t-shirt is sooo cool. :D Fantastic haul this week! Happy reading. :)

  13. We'll have to talk after we both read Hereafter, much like we did for the first book. lol

I want to take a more low key summer too. I have so much more reading time when I can focus on that and take a step back a tiny bit from blogging. Can't wait to hear more about your summer surprises!

  14. Oh... You think you are slacking? I just bought over 40 books.. and I have about ehh 200+ on my shelves I need to read. I've just been soo tempted by my nice comfy bed. Sleep doesn't care if you have stuff you need to do. It will take you away from everything.

    1. Wow -- 200? I keep weeding mine out -- if I think I'm never going to read a book, I've started donating those. Otherwise I just feel too stressed out.

If I didn't love you so much I'd probably hate you for this comment because, PLEASE, dropping back from posting 7 days to 6 days a week does SO not a slacker make! ;)

And Yay! You got Antigoddess!! Woo hoo:)Can't wait to hear if it's a hit with you:)

  25. Your t-shirt is amazing! And September might give me a panic attack. I just need to get through July though.

  28. I totally get what you mean about needing more time to read! I've been slacking a bit the past few wekks cause I have so many books I really want to read too! Have been reading them instead of working on the blog which is naughty but also nice! Hope you get to read those new releases soon!
