Freebie Friday 50: Freedom to Read!

Happy Friday! And, if you live in the US, happy Fourth of July weekend!

I feel lucky to live in a place where writers are free to write what they want, and readers are free to read the books they choose.

I'm away visiting family over the weekend, and one of my goals is to finish my last July ARC and start in on the August ones.

One of my big summer projects is de-cluttering -- closets, cupboards, and yes…. bookshelves. Here's the weirdest thing I found cleaning out cupboards: a tiny scarf and a little sweater tube with no arms. I was completely stumped. Were they doll clothes? Dog clothes?

So I Googled "tiny sweater cylinder" and got to this Better Homes and Gardens Christmas craft article and the lightbulb went off.  It's this:

A beverage sweater and scarf. Seriously! And, yeah, not on the top of my list of things I need. So, hmmm….  if my Freebie Friday winner lives in the US and wants it, they can have it!

What? You didn't come here to hear about my closet cleaning? Okay, back to the business at hand.  Since I'm away this weekend, I'm back to the one-click Freebie Friday entrance. But I promise those of you who love the Friday book discussion topics that they will make a return appearance soon.

What's up for grabs on Freebie Friday this week -- besides clothes to dress up your bottles?

If my winner lives in the US, they can choose one of these June and July ARCs:

Ink by Amanda Sun
This is WAR by Lisa and Laura Roecker
Replica by Jenna Black (finished copy)
Rules of Summer by Joanna Philbin
Belladonna (Secrets of the Eternal Rose #2) by Fiona Paul

If my winner lives outside the US, they can choose one of these options, ordered from The Book Depository:

-- a paperback of Venom (Secrets of the Eternal Rose #1) by Fiona Paul OR
-- a paperback of Ink by Amanda Sun OR
-- a paperback of Replica by Jenna Black OR
--a paperback of Liar Society OR Lies that Bind by Lisa and Laura Roecker

  11. Okay, I will admit it right up front; while very cute - what the heck do you want a bottle sweater for o_O or I should say more appropriately what do you use one for LOL I am not by any means intending to be sarcastic or rude in my comment and there is obviously a purpose or someone would not have put all of their labor of love into making it. I just do not understand why I would want my wine or cider not chilled? Thank you so much for making me smile and for the awesome freebie Friday post my mind is now racing with a picture of the Disney Beauty and the Beast teacups dancing around and I am concerned there are bottles in my house feeling a bit of a chill ;)

  13. You know you're awesome, right? And the pile of books are awesome too. The freaky sweater set for the beer bottles is less than awesome, but in a way it's so freaky that it's become cool. ;)

Hope you meet your bookish goals! I have got to organize, I keep starting but then I get distracted. Sigh. Hope you have a lovely weekend! Miss you!

  14. Don't people buy the most random things? Who needs a scarf for a wine bottle? I had a friend buy me some t-shirts to put on wine bottles. Not sure what the hell I am supposed to do with them! I usually chill my wine not try to keep it warm!
