The Hot Summer Reads Readathon started today! Welcome to all our participants below!
It's not too late to sign up! Our readathon isn't a competitive one, just a fun way to encourage us to read.
First off, we encourage you to post a photo of your TBR pile. You can do this in a blog post, or on Twitter, or Pinterest. Just link up your photo below.
For even more inspiration, I'm hosting a challenge called "Why Am I Reading These Books?"
To participate, all you need to do is choose a book from your TBR pile and give us least one reason that you're reading it.
Maybe your sister liked it? Maybe you love the cover? Maybe you've been reading too many dark books and need a fun one? Maybe you promised to review it and it comes out next week?
Just tell us below in comments, or, if you prefer, you can also leave a link in comments that leads to a Readathon post on your own blog or a Goodreads status update. Whatever works for you!
There will be a Hot Summer Reads Grand Prize and anyone who participates in the readathon can enter. You'll receive extra entries for participating in challenges. You can enter in the rafflecopter below.
I'm reading at least one book a day right now so I should do this but I know the second I do I will stop reading lol
ReplyDeletebut....good luck to you all!

I love Readathons! I always have more than enough to tackle! Happy Reading! I have some signed books I'd like to read and some recent sale buys to read.
ReplyDeleteHere is my challenge pile and why I want to read them!
This is my second read-a-thon and I hope to do my best! I'm trying to mix books I really want to read and books I know I need to read.
ReplyDeleteHere's my post that includes my reading list and why I want to read them: http://bibliophilic-nerds.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-summer-reads-read-thon-has.html
Good luck everyone!
Here is my goals post with why I want to read The Astronaut Wives Club. http://floodbooks.blogspot.com/2013/07/hot-summer-reads-read-thon-goals.html
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting and good luck with your goals all!
Hi this is my first readathon and I'm super excited! I've chosen books I've wanted to read for a while now and one I need to read for a blog tour :)

Since I`m doing this on low pressure, I have only 5 books on my list, most of them short. Here`s my list.
ReplyDeleteI`ve waited to read Double Time for too long already (`cause the author pubbed this book in series first before the fourth), and the others are due for reviews in August. I do think I might add more if I get farther, then I`ll do an update :)
Good luck tackling those books, everyone!

OK, I am swayed-I just signed up!
ReplyDeleteI will post my tbr-pile on twitter in a sec but currently the book I'm reading for the readathon is THE LOST SUN by Tessa Gratton because I received it from Amazon Vine and have to post a review within the next 2 weeks. Same reason I have SIGHT READING by Daphne Kalotay on my to-read list.
I'm reading THE MOON AND MORE by Sarah Dessen because it's Sarah Dessen and I LOVE HER. I've heard super awesome things about this book and can't wait to FINALLY dig into it. I also won the ARC from Penguin Canada, which is kind of awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteI picked Ender's Game because a) A friend said it was really good and b) The movie is coming out! I may or may not have a "Read the Book First" policy.
ReplyDeleteI want to join an readathon but honestly with work and stuff not sure if I would make it work. Good Luck to everyone participating.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading to all of those who've joined.

I cannot wait to read Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein. I just read Code Name Verity and absolutely loved it. So eager to read RUF this week!!!
