We Were Liars by e. lockhart (Delacorte)
The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks is one of my favorite YA books ever, a book filled with boarding school antics, secret societies, and girl power. So I am beyond excited that E. Lockhart has written a new book. And that I get to read it!

And We Stay by Jenny Hubbard (Delacorte)
I really enjoyed Rock Covers Paper by this author -- it was nominated for a Morris Award in 2012. I did not noticet that the book is written in prose and verse, but I think I can handle some verse!

Broken Hearts, Fences and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn (Feiwel and Friends)
This looks like a cute summer-love-and-friendship kind of book!
Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy by Karen Foxlee (Knopf)
I loved the Midnight Dress by this author and think she will write a great middle grade! Plus, The Snow Queen is one of my favorite fairy tales ever!

OTHER PRESENTS:
I was SO excited to get a package in my mailbox that included a beautiful boxed copy of The Winner's Curse. Thank you Macmillan for making my day, my week!!
Then, my amazing blogger friend Lauren from Love is Not a Triangle lent me Evertrue, which I can't wait to read!
I am plugging along on my Goodreads challenge. Only a few books left to go! Hope I can make it…
What's new with you? Tell me in comments and leave me a link so I can visit you back!
I have seen Ophelia and the Marvelous boy being on a lot of lists, I also liked the midnight dress so hmmm should be interesting to read her again. Wonder if it is out in australia
ReplyDeleteIt might be out there. I am such a huge fan of hers -- I need to find her first book!
DeleteThe Winner's Curse package is so gorgeous. I may have squealed with delight! lol
ReplyDeleteGood luck with you reading goal - I just passed mine (160 books) and I still have a few days left.
I definitely squealed. And I LOVED the book.
DeleteOh wow, you got so many wonderful books. I'm dying to read The Winner's Curse and We Were Liars, for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of your reading goals!
Thanks -- two books to go and 3 days. It's down to the wire…
DeleteBut I am halfway through one book now..
Um is that a dagger? The heck?
ReplyDeleteI'm so close to my goal too-if I finish two books today (probable), then I'll just need to read 2 more. I'm eying my to-read list to see which books are the shortest to up my chances :)
Yes. It's cardboard, but it's the cutest tiny dagger you ever saw!
DeleteCan't wait to see what you think of The Winner's Curse and Evertrue. I love that dagger *sigh* so pretty. I'm very eager to read We Were Liars. I ordered it from Random Buzzers but now that they went away I'm not thinking I'll get it :-( Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAw… well, it's on Netgalley too.
DeleteNice books! I can't wait to get my hands of The Winner Curse! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteLoved that book!!
DeleteI cannot wait to hear your thoughts on Foxlee's new book, because The Midnight Dress blew me away! Also, Evertrue!!!! So jealous! Jack may be one of my favorite book boyfriends of all time. I really can't wait for this book. Merry Bookmas, Jen! Can't wait to see you at BEA in May!
ReplyDeleteI know -- very excited!!!
DeleteYou got so many pretty books! I'd love to get a copy of The Winner's Curse (but I don't think that will happen...) And you other books for review don't look to bad either.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy them all!
Here's what I didn't exactly get for Christmas
Thanks so much!
DeleteOoh, pretties! Love that boxed edition! Is that an actual dagger?! Or does the picture just make it look 3-D?
ReplyDeleteI got some nice books for Christmas: http://roseshadowink.wordpress.com/2013/12/28/stacking-the-shelves-santa-edition/
Yep, it's a teeny cardboard dagger!!
DeleteThat is beyond awesome.
DeleteOh my gosh- the package The Winner's Curse was sent in is BEAUTIFUL. Why can't all books come in special packages instead of the boring yellow ones? ;) I can't wait to read your review of that book- hope you like it though! :) And Evertrue! Can't wait for that book either!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be the best? They really should do more books in collector's edition packages like that because people would buy them!!
DeleteEvertrue sounds great, hope you enjoy! Happy New Years!
ReplyDeleteThe Winner's Curse package and Evertrue are AWESOME! So glad you got those and to read your reviews! I got I got Broken Hearts... too. I'm ready for a cute read. :)
