Extra! Extra! is my weekend post featuring brand new additions to my TBR pile as well as a summary of what's new on the blog.
This weekend I'm linking to Stacking the Shelves @ Tynga's Reviews or to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I finally got back from my trip -- thunderstorms and hurricanes caused a bunch of flight delays -- and looking forward to a July filled with great books to read!
Don't forget to enter:

On my trip I read:
Kiss of Deception
by Mary Pearson
To be published by Henry Holt
on July 8, 2014
Guys, this book is good! As you may know, I'm not the biggest fantasy reader, but this book met all my expectations about what a great book should be. A runaway princess, chased by two men, a prince and an assassin. The book is told in alternating first person POV by all three characters, and you don't know which guy is which. There's a believably kickass heroine, and lots of suspense and action and romance. And... it's coming out on Tuesday, so keep an eye out for it. Or enter my giveaway, and then choose it!
Coming up on the TBR pile:

What are you reading this July? What's new with you? Let me know in comments and I will visit you back!
So glad that you liked The Kiss of Deception! All three of your upcoming reads look awesome, too! I hope you enjoy them! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fantasy reader either but I'll have to check out Kiss of Deception. Let's Get Lost looks good only because I'm assuming it's about a roap trip and I love road trip books. Although I get car sick so I don't know if I could ever take one! LOL
ReplyDeleteJust finished it. It is a road trip book, but it's one of those books that's a bunch of different stories linked by one character. Who is on a road trip of sorts...
DeleteAwesome! I love fantasy. I haven't read kiss of deception but I'll have to check out the blurb ^_^
ReplyDeleteThis month I've read both the 2 & 3rd bks in the Vampire academy series. I'm a new devotee lol. Also planning to read a bunch of books that have been sitting on my shelves for way too long. Right now I'm reading Prisoner of Night and Fog.
VA -- yay! Such a huge fan of those....
DeleteThose books look great....especially "Welcome to the Dark House"
ReplyDeleteI tried a chapter of that and not sure about it...
DeleteLet's get lost sounds good. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI had almost discounted Kiss of Deception because of the whole love triangle thing, but I've read so many great reviews that I feel like I really need to get it!
ReplyDeleteI'm discussing the triangle in my review, which goes up on Monday July 7...
DeleteKiss of Deception sounds like something I need to read and I will read it once I get to it. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I cannot wait to see what you think of Let's Get Lost as everyone is talking about it. Great post, Jen :)
ReplyDeleteKiss of Deception is one of my most anticipated reads of the year and while I am so so so glad to hear you enjoyed it, I think I might have to wait for the sequel to come out. The love triangle dynamic has me scared and while I know she makes her decision in this book, I am worried it might pop up in the sequel .-.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy, Let's Get Lost, Jen! :) I have it on my coming up reads too and so I hope we'll both love it :)
Happy reading, Jen and have a fabulous month! :)
Rashika @ The Social Potato
I agree. She does seem to settle on one guy in this book, but I am not 100% positive that things won't change...
Deletelet's get lost sounds like it will be good. Hope you enjoy and have a great coming week.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to Let's Get Lost. I gave away my copy of Kiss of Deception because I didn't think I would like it. Seemed love triangle-y

ReplyDeleteAlyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I'll be reviewing The Kiss of Deception for my Friday Favorites. If you can't tell, I loved it! :) That twist - I can't believe I got fooled so well. It just totally changed things for me. A little bit of a shocker and so well done by the author. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of your upcoming books. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Weekly Update/STS.
