Extra! Extra! How Can it be August Already??

Extra! Extra!

Extra! Extra! is my weekend post featuring brand new additions to my TBR pile as well as a summary of what's new on the blog.

This weekend I'm linking to Stacking the Shelves @ Tynga's Reviews or to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

NEW BOOKS:

I've been anticipating Cat Winters' new book since I read and loved In the Shadow of Blackbirds.
Thanks, Abrams, for sending me A Cure For Dreaming, which comes out October 2014!

I've been trying hard not to request any new books because -- holy moly! -- there are a lot of September review books on my shelves and Kindle. Must get reading!!

ON MY TBR:

Which of these should I read next???

Heir of Fire Anatomy of a Misfit The Jewel

COMING UP ON THE BLOG:

Reviews of some scary/thrilling YA -- Feral by Holly Schindler, Welcome to the Dark House by Laurie Faria Stolarz, and Forget Me by K. A. Harrington....

And I think you should read Heir of Fire so we can chat about it. I'll be starting it later this afternoon! Although, The Jewel is coming up soon for me too and it looks so amazing!

  6. I know I am so sad it is already August! I DNF Throne of Glass but when you do read Heir of Fire I want to know if she ends up with Chaol or Prince Dorian. Although I heard there will be six books in the series now so maybe it will be that long till she settles down. That was the only thing I was interested in during that series and I want her to get with Dorian. LOL Also read Jewel because I'm really curious about that one. Heard some good things. The cover did kind of turn me off just because it kind of looks like The Selection which wasn't a very good series in my opinion but maybe Jewel will be different.

  7. Heir of Fire! It's so much more than I was expecting. I honestly can't wait until it releases to be able to discuss all of the THINGS and FEELINGS openly with people.

  12. I've heard a lot of things about Cat Winters and I am planning on trying her stuff out soon! :)

I know right??? There are SOO many books coming out in September that I am putting off requesting books off of NG and EW for a while, I am just making a list of stuff I want to request later to satisfy myself :P

Also I think you should read Heir of Fire next :D Especially if you're a fan of the series. I actually never read past book 1 but plan to continue someday :P

Anyway I hope you have a happy week of reading, Jen!! :)

  17. Right?? I almost can't believe it's August already. I have to get reading on my September ARCs too...there's so many. It'll take me such a long time to read them all. At least they look really good, though. :)

You should read Heir of Fire next. I still have to read it (and Feral--I'm looking forward to your review on that one).

  18. I'm taking it slow for August. Kevin's off and I'm caught up on review books (not BEA books) so I'm just reading for fun!

  21. I'm interested in what you think of The Jewel. I only had 1 review book for August, but I have a crapload of September releases. I keep a schedule near me at all times so I don't go crazy with the arc requests.

  22. I haven't heard of these books, so I don't know which one you should read next. Just pick one depending on your mood. That's what I always do. Anyway, happy reading, Jen!
