Extra! Extra! #DarkestMinds and More...

Extra! Extra! is my weekend post featuring brand new additions to my TBR pile as well as a summary of what's new on the blog.

This weekend I'm linking to Stacking the Shelves @ Tynga's Reviews or to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

NEW BOOKS:

I'm trying to have restraint, but I downloaded these two from Edelweiss:

Lies I Told by Michelle Zink  (Harper Teen, April 2015)
Playlist for the Dead by Michelle Falkoff (Harper Teen, January 2015)

One book inspired by The Heist Society, and one by 13 Reasons Why. Hope I love
them!

  2. GOOGLE JUST ATE MY COMMENT!!!!!!

I'm so angry right now, it was a great comment!

I am ahead on my GR challenge, but only because of summer and I needed to be ahead to make up for all the books I won't be able to read because of school. I've only finished one book since the start of the school year and that makes me really sad. I'm starting to get back in the swing of things and not feel so exhausted when I get home so I'm hoping my reading will pick up at least a little bit. If not, I have no shame and I will totally change my GR goal. I've already changed it twice this year :)

    1. Sorry. I hate it when that happens!! On one of the commenting platforms (I can't remember which) I always copy my comment before I hit submit because it gets messed up so much.

  3. I'm a bit ahead on my GR challenge but that is because I listened to books like a madwoman when I was alone and packing up my house before we moved - it helped me stay on task and focused, so I basically listened the entire time I was awake for DAYS. The problem is that now I've read/listened to all of these books and haven't discussed them with anyone and I haven't blogged them because we've been trying to get settled! BOO. (:

I want to read the Darkest Minds books - I wonder if that is a series that my girls can read or do they need to wait a little longer? They've read Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, stuff like that. They're interested in this one and I'd love to read it along with them. No big deal but I was wondering! Haven't heard of the ones you just downloaded BECAUSE I've been trying to stay off of NG and Edelweiss since I'm so behind but I'm back this week and hopefully for good since we're settled. Have a great weekend, Jen!

    1. I have only read book one, but I think it would be okay for kids who can handle the Hunger Games. Hope you survived the move and are enjoying your new place!

  12. I wasn't the biggest fan of 'The Lies I Told', I wasn't expecting it to have a cliff-hanger ending wither though!

  14. I'm at war with that GoodReads widget. I get one read but stay the same amount of books behind! This year is better but last year drove me crazy. 2 books is serious restraint! I'm very impressed. Have a great week!
