FALLING BEHIND :(
Last week I promised you a post on kickass YA girls who get sidetracked by pretty boys and pretty dresses. And ... it's not done. This is partly because I have SO many September review books to slot in and partly because ... it's just not done. Stay tuned; it's coming!!
My family didn't go on our usual two-week beach vacation, a time that I usually read about two books a day. So ... I have fallen behind on my Goodreads challenge, a fact that Goodreads never forgets to remind me... *cries* I'm working on it. Or maybe I won't make my target. And that is okay!
What are you up to this week? Tell me in comments and leave me a link so I can visit you back :)
I'm so behind on my Goodreads goal, too, but it's quite small this year to begin with. I'm trying my hardest to catch up this month! Happy National Read A Book Day!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Stacking the Shelves
While I cut my goal to 150 (from 200) this year, i'm surprise that I'm actually way ahead. I don't mean to brag or anything. Lol. I hope you'll be able to make up for it soon, Jen. :)
ReplyDelete"Last week I promised you a post on kickass YA girls who get sidetracked by pretty boys and pretty dresses" YOU LIED!!!! lol I was looking forward to that one though :-))
ReplyDeleteI made my 100 book GR goal already and upped it to 150. Last year was so awful for me reading wise I wasn't sure how this year would go but it's been great. I'm back to my 1 book a day level of reading with a few breaks in-between so I don't burn out.

I am so far behind on my Goodreads Challenge that it isn't funny. The really sad thing is that I shouldn't be. I've read more than enough books. I've just been really bad about writing the reviews!
ReplyDeleteGreat stack. I'm behind on my Goodreads challenge, but I see that we both got Suspicion. I'm okay with not making my goal. You got some interesting books this week.

Aww girl I truly hope you'll catch up with your Goodreads challenge! I finished mine but honestly I thought I'd read much less this year. It seems I couldn't go without it :) I love the cover of Suspicion!! So amazing. Great haul, Jen :)
ReplyDeleteI got Suspicion this week too, and I can't wait to read Compulsion. Happy reading! My STS.
ReplyDeleteI'm like 50 books behind on my goodreads challenge! LOL I usually go for 150 but this year I think it will only be 100. I just have a bit of reader burnout and work and life burnout. Suspicion looks good! I just love the cover. Curious about Belzhar.
ReplyDeleteI'm ahead on my challenge but my Challnege is way less than yours so, yeah. Haha whatevs! Um I'm SO stoked for Suspicion! I got that this week too >.< yayyy for awesome gorgeous covers a d books based on Rebecca :P
ReplyDeleteI'm like 80 books ahead of my goodreads challenge. I KNOW. I set it at 100 but that's what I read last year...apparently I've had more time to read this year. I'm kind of secretly hoping for 200, but we'll see. I don't want to rush reading too much. But isn't September crazy for releases?! I think I'm going to have to do some mini-reviews the rate I'm going.
ReplyDeleteSeptember is so crazy when it comes to releases my bank account kind of hates me for it. Also, i'm like 9 or 10 books ahead of my goodreads schedule which is pretty exciting! I can't ever remembering being so ahead LOL! Great additions to your TBR pile this week Jen! HAPPY READING !
ReplyDeleteSuspicion sounds good. Hope you enjoy and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the count, even if you don't make it, but loved most of the books you've read it's great right? Happy reading :).
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for Suspicion and Princess of Thorns. Even if you don't make your goal, 127 books is a lot!
ReplyDeleteCompulsion looks awesome! Thanks for sharing and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteCompulsion and Suspicion look amazing! I added those to my want-to-read list on Goodreads.
ReplyDeleteAnd with those goals, I have no idea how to work it so I'm soo behind. At least you know what you're doing lol :)
Nice blog by the way! I'm a new follower on Bloglovin and Google+!

I do remember you reading a ton last year during your beach vacation, so that's a bummer. :( There are a ton of releases this month and next! Plus I always start to feel like I'm behind when it gets this time of year because it seems like the books start to pile up more and is starting to come to a close. I am looking forward to that post. Should be fun!
ReplyDeleteI believe I'm close to my reading goal as well. I've been taking it easy just really enjoying the books.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your target! 127 books is a whole heck of a lot of books and there's nothing stopping you switching your goal to 150 books and smashing it easily, right? You could celebrate with cake and everything.
