Extra! Extra! Recipes, Anyone?

Extra! Extra!
is my weekend post featuring brand new additions to my TBR pile as well as a summary of what's new on the blog.

This weekend I'm linking to Stacking the Shelves @ Tynga's Reviews and/or to Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

You can enter Hot Off the Presses by linking reviews of November books or commenting on linked reviews.

I'll have great new giveaways coming up in December!

The Distance Between Lost and Found by Kathryn Holmes (Harper, February 2015)
Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley (Harper, April 2015)
Finding Paris by Joy Preble (Balzer + Bray, April 2015)

What's new with you? Is there anyone who celebrates American Thanksgiving and has new recipes for me to try? I can't make good stuffing to save my life...

  1. Oooh Magonia and Finding Paris both sound AMAZING! Let me know what you think of them when you finish them!

    Check out my STS here!

  2. I love the cover for Magonia! It's so cool.

    1. Yes -- I have a Pinterest board of feather covers and I need to add that one!

  3. I'm curious about The Distance Between Lost and Found. That title is so deep. :)

    Have a great week, Jen!

  4. I got Magonia too! I'm SO SO excited to get to that one. I was intrigued when I read the blurb. I think it'll be several months until I get to it though...I am finishing my Oct/nov galleys and arcs still lol >.<
    Have a good weekend

  5. FINDING PARIS?! Okay. I need that book. Mostly just because I personally would like to find Paris and live there. And eat all the chocolate and croissants and coffee. But hey...reading the book would be awesome too. ;-)
We're not American, but we do have half American relatives and soooo we do have Thanksgiving! My mum makes a gorgeous pumpkin pie despite being Australian/Italian instead of American. lol ;-)

    1. It's funny that Thanksgiving features foods that people claim to love but usually only cook once a year.
Pumpkin pie (with whipped cream) is one of those things that sounds like it would be completely disgusting, yet it really works. I don't usually make it, because no one in my family likes it but me.

  6. Haven't heard of these books. Will check them out on Goodreads!

  7. Love the cover on The Distance Between Lost and Found!

And I am not the best cook but I find if I have a good recipe and follow it to the letter I am ok for the holidays....either that or my family is too nice!

  8. Magonia sounds great, hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.

  9. Congrats on the new books! I hope they're as good as they look. ;)

  10. I got Magonia and Pinding Paris too, they sound really good. enjoy your books Jen!
