Four Books I'm Really Looking Forward to in 2016

Happy 2016!  A new year, new possibilities, and NEW BOOKS! I'm excited about a lot of books coming out in 2016, but here are some of my most-anticipated titles:

Untitled Standalone by Stephanie Perkins (2016)
I've enjoyed Steph Perkins' Anna-Lola-Isla books and am looking forward to her standalone horror novel!

The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater (April 2016)
What is there to say, except ... Gansey cannot die. Permanently, at least. I may have to peek at the last page of this one first.

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead (April 2016)
Love Richelle Mead and I'm so excited about her new series.

Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye (March 2016)
I'm also a huge Jane Eyre fan and I'm really excited to try a book inspired by that classic.

Tell me in comment what books you are most looking forward to in 2016!

  1. I'm a little wary of The Glittering Court because of the way the series is written, so even though I'm excited, I'm going to wait for some reviews before deciding to pick it up.
But OMG! Jane Steele sounds like an amazing book! I love Jane Eyre so I'd read any retelling of the book. Thanks for highlighting it, Jen!
    Happy New Year! :)

  5. I'm so excited for The Glittering Court!! Although I'm a bit scared that it will be a let down, like Soundless...

  6. Peeking at the last page? TUT TUT, JEN. XD Okay, okay, I can't even talk right now because I'm SO tempted to do that too. I won't probably...because it'd be the first time I'd have ever looked ahead but GANSEY CAN'T DIE. I have this horrible sinking suspicion that one of the other boys will die for him. *sobs*
Least to say, I AM looking forward to The Raven King even though I think it'll destroy me. xD

  8. I can't believe I still haven't read anything by Stephanie Perkins. What am I doing with my life? :) My most anticipated is probably A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas.

  14. Yay for a new Stephanie Perkins book! I'll definitely be reading that one! I'm really excited for The Mirror King and the Six of Crows sequel! But really, there are a ton I can't wait to read. I'm also really excited because I plan on starting The Raven Cycles series, which everybody loves. I need to be ready for the last book so I don't get spoiled before I can read them!

  16. I agree - Gansey cannot die. If he does, that will be the last Maggie Stiefvater book I will read. I can't take any more disappointment from her.

I added Jane Steele to my tbr. Thanks!

  19. More from Stephanie Perkins?! That is AWESOME...but a horror novel?? I'm not sure about that...hmmm

  20. Jane Steele I had not see before and I'm all for more Jane Eyre, so I'll definitely be adding that to my tbr. The two middle ones are already on there and I'll have to add the Stephanie Perkins in.

Hmm. What am I most looking forward to? There are quite a few, but maybe Heartless by Marissa Meyer, The Mirror King by Jodi Meadows, When We Collided by Emery Lord, and P.S. I Like You by Kasie West.

  21. My list goes like this: from #1 to #10, it's just The Raven King. And then from #10 - #20, there are some other titles, too. Like Crooked Kingdom, ACOMAF, Gemina, etc. But NOW THAT I'VE FOUND STEPHANIE PERKINS'S *HORROR* NOVEL, THAT'S GOING ON THE LIST, TOO! Bless you for this revelation, Jen!

  22. Stephanie Perkins is writing a standalone horror novel? Now that is right on the over side of the spectrum! I loved her books as well, so I am looking forward to seeing what she might possibly come up with!
